Antonio Madeira Branco 2022
Antonio Madeira Branco 2022 is sourced from old, mixed vineyards planted at elevation in the Dão, near the Serra da Estrela mountains. These field blends of indigenous varieties are farmed with minimal intervention, allowing altitude, granite soils, and climate to define the wine. Fermentation occurs with native yeasts, followed by élevage in neutral vessels to preserve texture without imprinting oak flavor. The style is uncompromising: linear, mineral, and quietly intense. This is a wine about energy and structure, not aromatic show.
Serve at 10–12°C and consider a short decant to allow the wine to open. Antonio Madeira Branco excels with refined fish dishes, shellfish, grilled vegetables, and minimalist cuisine where texture and seasoning matter. Its acidity and mineral grip also pair beautifully with fresh goat cheeses and dishes built around olive oil, herbs, and subtle bitterness. This is a wine for focused drinking and thoughtful food.
