Becherovka 38%
Becherovka originated in 1807 in Karlovy Vary when pharmacist Josef Vitus Becher created what would become a signature Czech herbal liqueur. Crafted from a secret blend of more than twenty herbs and spices, it has matured into an icon of Czech drinking culture — equally appreciated as an aperitif or digestif.
Serve well-chilled (around 6 C) in a small glass, neat or with tonic and a lemon slice (the classic Czech long-drink “Beton” = Becherovka + tonic). Its herbal-spice profile pairs beautifully with smoked meats, hearty Czech-style sausages, aged cheeses, or citrus-forward desserts where the bitters bring refreshing contrast.
