Tasting CharacteristicsProject XX (pronounced “Project Twenty”) is one of Glenfiddich’s most creative experiments — a whisky born from collaboration. Twenty Glenfiddich experts from around the world each selected one exceptional cask, later blended by Malt Master Brian Kinsman into a strikingly complex single malt. At 47%, it’s bold yet refined, balancing sweet fruit and deep oak spice.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Apple, pear, vanilla, and toffee with hints of cinnamon, almonds, and oak.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Rich and layered – ripe fruit, creamy vanilla, and dark chocolate blend with warm spice, hazelnut, and a touch of dry oak. The higher ABV intensifies the texture and depth.
Tertiary
Finish: Long, warm, and lingering with notes of fruit, spice, and gentle oak sweetness.
