Tasting Characteristics

Producing in the famed Cognac region, Lhéraud applies its centuries-old expertise to craft this Signature Ugni Blanc Pineau des Charentes. Beginning with must of the Ugni Blanc grape variety, then blended with cognac and matured in oak, it encapsulates terroir and tradition in one elegant liquid.

Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Bright green apple and pear, soft honeyed overtones, delicate almond or marzipan edge, gentle vanilla-oak from barrel maturation.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Smooth entry; orchard fruit sweetness (peach, white grape), a hint of dried fruit or prune, mellow honey, subtle citrus lift, and a soft oaked backbone.
Tertiary
Finish: Medium-long; lingering honeyed fruit, soft almond-pit echo, gentle oak and a clean, refined after-taste that invites another sip.
Gastronomy

Serve well-chilled (8-10 C) in a tulip-shaped glass to focus the aromatics. Ideal as an aperitif, or paired with richer dishes: foie gras, fresh melon, blue-vein cheeses or white chocolate desserts. Its elegant sweetness and fruit-oak nuance elevate special occasions and refined palates.
