Chateau Haut-Brion 2015
Haut-Brion 2015 carries the weight of history and terroir: its vineyards in Pessac-Léognan lend smoky, gravelly depth, while the vintage’s favorable conditions allowed fully ripe Cabernet Sauvignon to retain fine acidity and structure. Aged in French barriques, the wine presents a harmonious balance between ripe fruit, cigar-box cedar, loamy earth and sophisticated tannic architecture — a serious Bordeaux meant for cellaring and slow enjoyment.
Serve at 18–19 C, ideally after decanting 60–90 minutes to open up the layers. Haut-Brion 2015 pairs superbly with rich red meat dishes: rib-eye steak grilled over charcoal, duck confit, lamb rack with rosemary, braised short ribs, or venison. It also withstands hearty stews, game dishes, or aged hard cheeses like aged Gouda or mature Comté. The wine’s depth and tannic structure can handle sauces with reduction and gravies or dishes with mushrooms and truffle.
