Chateau Palmer 2008
Château Palmer 2008 is a classic expression of the estate’s sensual, Merlot-influenced style: supple, aromatic, elegant and intricately layered. The cooler vintage favored clarity and tension over opulence, giving the wine lifted aromatics, fine-grained tannins and a subtle floral signature. Cabernet Sauvignon provides backbone and minerality, while Merlot adds texture and depth. Now entering its ideal drinking window, the 2008 Palmer shows harmony, detail and remarkable finesse — a true Margaux thoroughbred.
Serve at 18 C after 60–90 minutes of decanting. Palmer 2008 pairs beautifully with refined dishes: roast lamb with herbs, duck breast with berry jus, beef tenderloin, veal medallions, mushroom risotto, truffle dishes or sophisticated poultry preparations. For cheese, choose aged soft-ripened varieties (Brie de Meaux, Coulommiers) or firm, nutty cheeses like Comté and aged Gouda.
