Tasting Characteristics

Domaine Adrien Berlioz Octavie 2024 is the grandest and most structured expression of Roussanne from the estate — a wine that marries alpine clarity with Burgundian depth. Aged for a year on lees in oak, it reveals ripe orchard fruit, honeyed tones, and nutty richness wrapped in fresh mountain minerality. Textural, layered, and profoundly elegant, it’s a wine that speaks softly yet leaves a lasting impression — a perfect balance between precision and generosity.

Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Powerful and elegant — ripe apricot, quince, and acacia honey mingle with hazelnut, vanilla, and wet stone. Subtle oxidative notes add depth and warmth.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Rich and finely balanced — golden fruit and gentle spice unfold with creamy texture and tension. Lees contact brings a round mouthfeel, while precise acidity keeps the wine lifted and vibrant.
Tertiary
Finish: Long and persistent, with lingering tones of toasted almond, citrus peel, and mineral salinity.
Gastronomy

An exquisite companion for lobster, scallops, or roasted poultry with truffle cream. Pairs beautifully with mushroom risotto, Alpine cheeses (Beaufort, Comté), or veal in light sauce. It also complements sea bass, roasted root vegetables, and chestnut purée. Serve at 11–13 °C — a contemplative wine for refined gastronomy and intimate evenings.
