Glaetzer Amon-Ra 2020
Named after the Egyptian sun god, Amon-Ra represents the pinnacle of Ben Glaetzer’s winemaking. Sourced from old-vine Shiraz (up to 130 years old) grown in Barossa’s ancient Ebenezer soils, the wine combines extreme concentration with surprising finesse. Aged in 100% new oak for 16 months, it integrates fruit and structure into a seamless whole. The 2020 vintage is marked by purity, density and balance: a monumental Shiraz built for decades of evolution.
Serve at 16–18°C. Amon-Ra is ideal with ribeye, lamb shoulder, slow-braised beef, BBQ short ribs, venison, truffle dishes, mushroom ragù and aged hard cheeses. Its richness and structure pair beautifully with deeply savory, umami-driven dishes.
