Grapes are hand-harvested, fermented with native yeasts, given a long maceration, and aged for four years in large Slavonian oak casks — a hallmark of Borgogno’s traditional approach. The result is a wine with firmness, depth, and longevity, expressing both terroir precision and classical Barolo restraint.

Aroma/Nose: Red cherry, dark plum, and wild berries lead into aromas of violets, dried herbs, tobacco, leather, and earthy minerality. Subtle smoky and balsamic notes underline the complexity.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Full-bodied and structured, with ripe cherry, plum, blackberry, and savory layers of leather, cedar, herbs, and spices. Acidity is vibrant, supporting the wine’s tension, while firm, well-shaped tannins create length and precision. Classic Borgogno austerity balanced by refined fruit.

Finish: Long, mineral, and persistent — red fruit fading into earth, spice, cedar, and dried herbs. The finish is elegant, focused, and built for age.
