Chateau Cheval Blanc Premier Grand Cru Classe "A" 2014
A master-class Bordeaux blend that marries elegance with rich lineage—ready for now, built to age for decades.
Nestled in the right-bank prestige of Saint-Émilion, Chateau Cheval Blanc has long held the “Premier Grand Cru Classe A” distinction. The 2014 vintage stands out for its precision and finesse: blended at 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Franc.
With meticulous vinification-long maceration, new oak elevation and a terroir of gravel, sand and clay that nurtures Cabernet Franc to rare ripeness, this wine merges varietal purity with site expression.
Serve at 18 C in a large Bordeaux-style glass. Decant for at least 90 minutes to allow its layers to open.
This wine suits refined, deeply flavoured dishes: roasted rib-eye with black peppercorns, venison loin with juniper and dark cherries, wild mushroom risotto finished with shaved Pecorino, or mature Comte with fig-jam accompaniment. The blend`s vibrant acidity and structured tannins offer superb synergy with richly textured meats and umami cheeses.
