Tasting Characteristics

Luca Bosio’s Barbera d’Asti DOCG 2023 captures the classic energy of Piedmont’s Barbera: lively acidity, clean red fruit and a graceful, food-friendly structure. Fermentation in stainless steel preserves the grape’s purity and freshness, resulting in a wine that is both approachable and characterful. The 2023 vintage shows ripe fruit, polished texture and a smooth, modern profile ideal for everyday enjoyment or pairing with Italian cuisine.

Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Red cherry, raspberry, plum, violet, subtle spice and a touch of fresh herbs.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Medium-bodied, supple and juicy. Flavours of cherry, red plum, cranberry, gentle spice and a hint of mineral lift. Acidity is bright and refreshing — a hallmark of Barbera — while tannins remain soft and integrated.
Tertiary
Finish: Medium, lively and fruit-led, with lingering red berries and light floral notes.
Gastronomy

Serve at 16–18°C. Excellent with pizza Napoletana, lasagna, pasta al pomodoro, roasted chicken, grilled sausages, mushroom dishes, and aged Italian cheeses. Its juicy acidity and red-fruit profile complement both rustic and modern Mediterranean cuisine.
