This is natural sparkling wine from Rheinhessen, crafted by Martin Wörner under his Marto Wines label. Grapes (Würzer, Huxelrebe, Müller-Thurgau) are grown organically on varied soils, harvested by hand, and fermented with ambient yeasts. A whole-bunch maceration brings subtle structure and aromatic depth, before bottling early to capture liveliness and natural sparkle. The result is a pét-nat that wears both freedom and terroir on its sleeve – unfiltered, unrefined, raw but charming.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma / Nose: Bright tropical and orchard-fruit aromas: perhaps pineapple, lychee, quince, mixed with hints of wild honey and a faint herbal or floral waft - a bit playful, a bit unpredictable.
Secondary
Palate / Taste: Light-bodied but juicy; expect fresh tropical and stone-fruit flavours, bright acidity, a gentle fizz and an overall lively character. The texture is effortless, fizzy, and slightly wild - you feel nature more than polish.
Tertiary
Finish: Crisp, mineral-tinged, slightly herbaceous or citrusy, leaving a clean, refreshing aftertaste - a perfect finish for a casual, spontaneous moment.
