Tasting Characteristics

Produced in southern Burgundy, this Bourgogne Rouge reflects Domaine Aimé Blouzard’s focus on clarity over power. The 2024 vintage favors red fruit purity, natural acidity, and light structure, avoiding heavy extraction or obvious oak. It is a deliberately classic expression of Pinot Noir—precise, accessible, and rooted in everyday Burgundian drinking culture rather than ambition-driven winemaking.

Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma / Nose: Fresh red cherry and raspberry lead, followed by subtle floral tones and a light earthy nuance. With air, hints of crushed stone and soft spice emerge.
Secondary
Palate / Taste: Juicy red fruit and bright acidity define the entry. The mid-palate is clean and controlled, with fine-grained tannins, touches of cranberry and sour cherry, and a discreet savory edge that adds dimension without weight.
Tertiary
Finish; Dry and tidy, ending on red fruit, gentle earthiness, and a faint mineral note. Persistent but understated.
Gastronomy

Serve slightly chilled at 15–17°C to emphasize freshness. This wine performs best with food: roasted chicken, duck breast, or veal dishes benefit from its acidity and fine tannins, while mushroom-based or lentil dishes echo its subtle savory character. Mild cheeses, particularly young goat’s cheese or lightly aged Alpine styles, complement its balance without overpowering the wine.
