Tasting CharacteristicsLa Vache qui Tâche 2023 embodies the playful yet artisanal spirit of Domaine Aimé Blouzard. Crafted from Gamay grown in the southern reaches of Burgundy, it undergoes semi-carbonic maceration to enhance purity and fruit vibrancy. The result is a wine that is light, juicy and effortlessly charming, offering precision, freshness and a natural, low-intervention edge. It’s a modern expression of Burgundy Gamay — bright, energetic and made for pleasure.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, rose petal, fresh herbs and a gentle hint of white pepper.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Light, crunchy and lively. Red berries dominate: cherry, cranberry, raspberry. Subtle floral notes and a touch of spice round out the profile. Acidity is vivid, tannins soft and silky, giving the wine a smooth, easy flow.
Tertiary
Finish: Medium, refreshing and juicy — red fruit and subtle pepper linger with brightness.
GastronomyServe lightly chilled (12–14 C). La Vache qui Tâche 2023 is perfect for casual meals and convivial settings: charcuterie, pâté, roast chicken, grilled sausage, veggie quiches, mushroom tart, light pasta dishes, tapas or Comté cheese. Its bright acidity and crunchy fruit make it ideal for both picnic drinking and bistro-style cuisine.
