Tasting CharacteristicsMâcon-Villages 2023 from Domaine Aimé Blouzard captures the essential charm of the Mâconnais: fresh orchard fruit, floral lift and clean, limestone-driven acidity. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, the wine maintains clarity and precision without oak influence. The 2023 vintage enhances ripeness while preserving the region’s hallmark freshness, offering a Chardonnay that is effortless, elegant and highly drinkable — a modern, vibrant interpretation of classic Burgundy purity.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Green apple, pear, lemon zest, white flowers, almond skin and soft chalky minerality.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Light to medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing. Apples, citrus and subtle stone-fruit tones blend with a gentle lees-derived softness and a fine mineral thread. Acidity is bright, giving lift and balance.
Tertiary
Finish: Medium, clean and fresh — citrus peel, pear and a delicate chalky note linger.
GastronomyServe at 8–10 С. This Mâcon-Villages pairs beautifully with light, fresh cuisine: grilled trout, sushi, prawns, oysters, goat-cheese salads, roasted chicken, vegetable risotto, quiche, pasta with olive oil and herbs or soft cheeses like chèvre. Its crisp acidity and mineral precision make it a versatile everyday white.
