Kir Yianni Cuvée Villages Naoussa
Cuvée Villages is Kir-Yianni’s expression of Naoussa meant to reflect the diversity of village-level vineyards while remaining accessible in its youth. Xinomavro here shows its hallmark tension: high natural acidity, firm but controlled tannins, and a profile that leans more savory than fruity. Oak is used with restraint to support structure, not to mask varietal identity. The result is a wine that stays true to Naoussa’s serious character while offering immediate gastronomic appeal.
Serve at 16–18°C and always with food. This Naoussa pairs naturally with grilled or roasted meats, especially lamb and beef, where its acidity cuts through fat and its tannins frame the dish. Tomato-based stews, Mediterranean herb-driven cuisine, and dishes with olives or dried herbs align seamlessly with its savory profile. Hard, aged cheeses complement the wine’s structure without softening its tension.
