Tasting Characteristics

Crafted by Master Blender Alex Thomas, The Sexton is a bold, contemporary Irish single malt triple-distilled from 100% malted barley and aged in Oloroso sherry casks. Its dark, decadent profile makes it one of Ireland’s most distinctive modern whiskies.

Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Dried fruit, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and spice with hints of toffee and orange zest.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Rich and velvety – notes of sherry sweetness, walnut, honey, and coffee mingle with malt and oak spice.
Tertiary
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering cocoa, toasted oak, and subtle sweetness.
Gastronomy

Perfect neat or on the rocks, and a great base for an Old Fashioned or Espresso Martini. Pairs beautifully with dark chocolate desserts, roasted nuts, or aged cheeses. The sherry finish also complements fruit tarts and caramel-based dishes.
