Tasting Characteristics

Château Les Croisille Chardonnay 2023 reimagines the varietal through the prism of Cahors limestone. Organically grown and aged partly on lees, it balances freshness and finesse with a quiet touch of creaminess. Notes of pear, citrus, and chalk unfold in perfect harmony — elegant, restrained, and unmistakably shaped by its southern terroir. A luminous Chardonnay that speaks of soil and precision rather than oak or excess.

Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Elegant and vibrant — aromas of pear, white peach, and citrus zest with subtle notes of almond, acacia, and wet stone.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Bright and textured — ripe orchard fruit and lemon cream glide over a fine mineral backbone. Lees aging brings smoothness and depth, while fresh acidity adds lift.
Tertiary
Finish: Long and refined, leaving impressions of citrus peel, hazelnut, and chalky minerality.
Gastronomy

Excellent with grilled sea bass, roast chicken, creamy pasta, or goat cheese. Try it with risotto with lemon and herbs, seared scallops, or vegetable quiche. It also pairs beautifully with mild curries or fresh cheeses like Tomme and Brie. Serve at 10–12 °C — an elegant companion for refined, modern cuisine.
