The 2022 vintage, naturally ripe and generous, reveals remarkable concentration without sacrificing freshness. Long maceration and extended aging in French oak give the wine depth, refinement and sculpted tannins. This is a modern, polished interpretation of Cahors — powerful yet elegant, driven by dark fruit, mineral precision and a long, resonant finish.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Blackberry, blackcurrant, ripe plum, violet, cedar, cocoa, black pepper, warm spice and a distinct graphite-mineral signature.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Full-bodied and richly textured, with concentrated black fruit, dark chocolate, licorice, smoky-mineral tones and structured, fine-grained tannins. The palate shows both power and verticality, balanced by fresh acidity typical of limestone-grown Malbec.
Tertiary
Long, deep and layered — cassis, cocoa, cedar, crushed stone and persistent spice linger with firm, elegant tannic grip.
