Tasting Characteristics

Rosa 2024 is a collaboration between Donnafugata and Dolce&Gabbana, blending winemaking precision with haute couture aesthetics. Nerello Mascalese from volcanic slopes lends tension and minerality, while Nocera adds softness and vivid fruit. Vinified entirely in stainless steel, the wine maintains purity, delicacy and crystalline freshness. The 2024 vintage stands out for bright aromatics, fine structure and Mediterranean charm.

Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose:: Rose petals, wild strawberry, white peach, pomegranate, delicate citrus zest and a faint mineral breeze reminiscent of Etna’s volcanic soils.
Secondary
Palate/Taste:: Silky and fresh, with a graceful interplay of peach, strawberry, redcurrant and subtle floral notes. A linear mineral core lifts the fruit, while balanced acidity gives precision and elegance. Texture is smooth and polished, with a couture-like finesse.
Tertiary
Finish: Clean, floral and gently saline, with lingering red fruit and a soft herbal whisper.
Gastronomy

Serve chilled (8–10°C). Rosa pairs beautifully with Mediterranean cuisine: tuna tartare, prawns, octopus salad, grilled fish, caprese, couscous with vegetables, sushi, fresh pasta with herbs, and soft cheeses. Its floral-fruity profile also complements summer stone-fruit dishes and light berry desserts.
