Domaine de L’R “Les Cinq Éléments” 2023 is the soul of Chinon captured in a bottle — a seamless dialogue between earth, air, fire, water, and time. Crafted by Frédéric Sigonneau from organically farmed Cabernet Franc, this cuvée is deeper and more structured than his lighter wines, yet still defined by purity and restraint. The 2023 vintage reveals tension, freshness, and aromatic precision — a Loire red that combines quiet power with natural grace.

Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Aromas of black cherry, redcurrant, and ripe plum mingle with graphite, violet, and crushed herbs. Subtle notes of tobacco leaf, cocoa, and wet stone lend depth and authenticity.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Supple yet firm, showing layers of red and black fruit, wild herbs, and a touch of pepper. The tannins are fine-grained, integrated beautifully with bright acidity and a gentle mineral core.
Tertiary
Finish: Long and refined, echoing with spice, forest floor, and floral minerality.
