Tasting CharacteristicsLes Houttes 2023 showcases the most delicate facet of Domaine de L’R. Cabernet Franc from sandy and gravel-rich parcels naturally produces wines of lifted aromatics, supple texture and effortless drinkability. Fermentation with native yeasts and ageing in cement or stainless steel preserve purity and transparency. The 2023 vintage is bright, fragrant and fluid, offering a quintessential Loire expression with crunchy red fruit, floral lift and elegant mineral tension.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Raspberry, red cherry, crushed flowers, sweet pepper, violet and a gentle touch of graphite.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Light, lively and silky. Fresh red fruit leads, supported by floral nuances and a clean mineral line. Tannins are soft, acidity vibrant, making the wine charmingly drinkable and refreshing.
Tertiary
Finish: Medium, floral and bright — raspberry, cherry skin and subtle herbal notes linger with finesse.
GastronomyServe slightly chilled (12–14 С). Les Houttes 2023 pairs beautifully with light, aromatic dishes: roast chicken, herb-marinated pork, charcuterie, grilled vegetables, mushroom tarts, lentil salads, goat cheese, or bistro-style plates. Its freshness also complements sushi, tuna tataki and mildly spiced Southeast Asian cuisine.
