Tasting CharacteristicsUne Fille de l’Air 2024 reflects Frédéric Sigonneau’s minimalist approach applied to a grape rarely associated with Chinon. Organic farming, natural fermentation and ageing in stainless steel preserve the wine’s elegance and transparency. This Chardonnay is intentionally subtle: crisp fruit, floral touches and a whisper of lees texture come together in a style defined by lightness and mineral clarity. The 2024 vintage is bright, refined and effortlessly drinkable.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Green apple, lemon zest, white flowers, pear skin and a faint mineral smokiness.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Fresh, linear and delicate. Citrus and orchard fruit glide over a clean mineral spine. The texture is soft and lightly creamy from lees contact, while the acidity stays crisp and refreshing.
Tertiary
Finish: Medium, pure and clean — citrus, pear and subtle floral notes lingering lightly.
GastronomyServe at 8–10 C. Une Fille de l’Air 2024 pairs beautifully with light, elegant dishes: ceviche, grilled sea bass, sushi, vegetable tempura, fresh goat cheese, lemon–herb salads, white asparagus or poultry with citrus. Its delicacy makes it ideal for aperitif moments or refined, minimalist cuisine.
