Domaine G.Metz captures the 2022 vintage with remarkable precision — exotic, rich, honey-infused, yet lifted by Gewurztraminer’s natural spice and floral perfume. The wine offers a symphony of depth: unctuous texture, layers of tropical fruit, glowing acidity and a finish that lingers like a final chord.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma / Nose: Explosive notes of lychee confit, rose petal jam, candied ginger, saffron, honeycomb, ripe mango, dried apricot and subtle botrytis spice.
Secondary
Palate / Taste: Full-bodied, velvety and intensely sweet, with flavours of exotic fruit paste, quince jelly, honey, preserved citrus and warm spice. Acidity is gentle but supportive, giving enough lift to balance richness. The texture is luxurious — mouth-coating yet harmonious.
Tertiary
Finish: Exceptionally long and radiant, with lingering notes of honey, dried fruit, rose and sweet spice, slowly fading in layers.
