Tasting CharacteristicsIl Bruciato is the approachable, contemporary face of Guado al Tasso, crafted from vineyards near the Tuscan coast. The 2023 vintage benefits from warm days, cooling sea breezes and perfectly ripe Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by fleshy Merlot and spicy Syrah. Ageing in French oak enhances texture and complexity without overshadowing fruit purity. The wine offers the hallmark Bolgheri traits — richness, Mediterranean warmth and refined elegance — in a vibrant, accessible style.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Blackberry, cassis, plum, blueberry, violet, cocoa, sweet spice, cedar, a hint of tobacco and Mediterranean herbs.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Medium+ bodied, silky and concentrated. Ripe dark berries, black cherry, plum, mocha, vanilla spice and soft pepper notes. Tannins are smooth and rounded; acidity lively and well-integrated. Oak provides gentle structure and creamy accents.
Tertiary
Finish: Long, warm and fruit-driven, with lingering plum, spice, cocoa and a subtle herbal-mineral edge.
