Tasting CharacteristicsPerles d’Agathe is crafted as a pét-nat, highlighting the playful yet precise side of Domaine Bonnet-Huteau. Made from biodynamically farmed Melon de Bourgogne, it undergoes natural bottle fermentation, resulting in fine bubbles, slight turbidity and vibrant aromatic lift. It offers the signature freshness and salinity of Loire Melon but in a sparkling, lightly rustic, ultra-refreshing expression. Crisp, honest and beautifully mineral — a pét-nat with real finesse.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma / Nose: Lemon zest, green apple skin, white peach, wet stone, bread dough and subtle herbal tones.
Secondary
Palate / Taste: Bright, energetic and lightly creamy from natural lees. Citrus and orchard fruit lead, supported by saline minerality and soft pét-nat bubbles. Clean, dry and thirst-quenching.
Tertiary
Finish:Fresh, citrusy and mineral — leaving a crisp, slightly savory note.
GastronomyServe well-chilled (6–8 C). Perles d’Agathe is perfect as a joyful aperitif but also pairs beautifully with oysters, mussels, prawns, sushi, vegetable tempura, fresh goat cheese, light salads, ceviche or cold seafood platters. Its zippy acidity and gentle bubbles make it especially food-friendly.
