Tasting CharacteristicsA true powerhouse bourbon, Blanton’s Straight From The Barrel is bottled at natural cask strength without dilution or filtration — pure, raw Kentucky character. Each barrel is unique, offering unparalleled depth, intensity, and warmth.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Burnt caramel, brown sugar, toffee, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and oak spice with hints of tobacco and dried orange peel.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Intense and rich – dark honey, roasted coffee, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla bean, and candied fruit unfold in waves of warmth.
Tertiary
Finish: Exceptionally long, bold, and warming, with lingering caramel, dark chocolate, and toasted oak spice.
GastronomyBest enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to unlock its complex layers. Pairs beautifully with grilled steak, dark chocolate fondant, or roasted pecans. Also exceptional alongside a fine cigar or as a luxurious after-dinner sipper for collectors and connoisseurs.
