Tasting CharacteristicsCasa de Vilacetinho Grande Escolha Vinho Verde 2023 is produced from selected parcels within the Vinho Verde region, aiming to show a more serious and gastronomic side of the appellation. Native grape varieties are vinified with restraint, emphasizing acidity, mineral clarity, and balance. Fermentation and aging in stainless steel preserve purity, while short lees contact adds subtle texture. This is Vinho Verde without shortcuts: dry, clean, and built for the table.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aromat/Nos: Green apple, lime, and pear, supported by white flowers, fresh herbs, and a light mineral note.
Secondary
Smak/Podniebienie: Dry and light to medium-bodied, driven by vibrant acidity and crisp citrus fruit. The palate is linear and refreshing, with a clean texture and no residual sweetness.
Tertiary
Finisz: Fresh and precise, with lingering citrus, subtle salinity, and a mineral, mouth-cleansing close.
GastronomyServe well chilled at 8–10°C to highlight freshness and acidity. This Vinho Verde pairs naturally with seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, salads, and light vegetable dishes. Its high acidity and dry finish also make it an excellent aperitif and a strong match for simple, ingredient-driven cuisine and fresh cheeses.
