Tasting CharacteristicsEros is Pirouettes’ lighter, more immediate expression of Pinot Noir, shaped by Alsace fruit and a natural, hands-off approach. The 2023 vintage leans into purity and ease: low alcohol, minimal tannin, and no oak to distract from fruit and texture. The wine sits firmly in the chillable red category, offering clarity and charm rather than depth or power. It’s Pinot Noir stripped to its essentials—bright, transparent, and intentionally unforced.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma / Nose: Wild strawberry, red cherry, and raspberry, with subtle floral notes and a faint herbal edge.
Secondary
Palate / Taste: Light and fluid, driven by fresh red fruit and lively acidity. Tannins are soft and discreet, giving shape without grip. The profile remains dry, airy, and highly drinkable.
Tertiary
Finish: Clean and short to medium, finishing on red berries and a gentle herbal nuance.
GastronomyServe slightly chilled at 13–15°C. This wine excels with casual, vegetable-forward cuisine, light poultry, or simple pasta dishes. Its low tannin and bright acidity also make it an easy match for soft cheeses and informal meals where freshness and balance matter more than structure.
