Byrrh – French Quinquina Aperitif with Delivery in Warsaw
Byrrh is a classic French aperitif created in 1866 in Thuir, in the Roussillon region, by the Violet brothers. It belongs to the quinquina family: a base of fortified red wine (mistelle) infused with cinchona bark, which gives the drink its distinctive gentle bitterness, alongside coffee, cocoa and dried fruit notes. For decades Byrrh was one of the most popular aperitifs in France, and today it is back in favour with bartenders.
In our online selection you will find:
- Byrrh Grand Quinquina – the original recipe, wine-based, bittersweet and richly aromatic;
- Byrrh Rare Assemblage – a limited blend of older wines, deeper and more complex.
Byrrh is available online with delivery in Warsaw and across Poland. Serve it chilled over ice with orange, top it with tonic, or use it in classic cocktails in place of sweet vermouth.
Why choose Byrrh?
- An authentic 19th-century French recipe, produced continuously since 1866;
- Wine base rather than neutral spirit, which makes it gentler and more food-friendly;
- An essential bottle for Negroni, Manhattan and Boulevardier variations;
- A distinctive alternative for anyone who already knows vermouth and wants to go further.
