L"Astemia - When Wine Becomes Design

Founded by Sandra Vezza in the heart of Barolo`s famed hills, L"Astemia emerged as a creative declaration of love for the land. Vezza - once a teetotaller ("astemia" in Italian) - returned to her childhood memories in Levice, among the Langhe vineyards. In 2010 the first vintage was released, and by 2023 the winery achieved its first organic-certified vintage.

The architecture shouts innovation: two enormous "wine case" boxes perched on the Cannubi hillside mask an underground production facility that spans the process from grape to bottle. The union of avant-garde design and terroir-driven winemaking is fundamental to L"Astemia`s identity.

What Defines Their Wines

L"Astemia`s vineyards cover approximately 30 hectares in the municipalities of Barolo and Monforte d`Alba, focused on native Piedmontese varieties with gradual transition to full organic farming.

The philosophy: minimal intervention in the vineyard, modern facilities underground, and a design-forward environment above ground. Each wine reflects the Langhe`s vertical terrain, the grape`s lineage and the artisan mindset behind the brand.

From Barolo DOCG to Langhe whites, this is wine that wears its origin lightly yet confidently - where style meets substance, and bottle becomes statement.
