Tasting Characteristics

Tenuta Nicosia Passuluna Bianco 2023 reflects the winery’s modern approach to Sicilian whites, focusing on drinkability rather than weight. Produced from local white varieties grown in volcanic-influenced soils, the wine captures Sicily’s sun while retaining freshness through careful harvesting and stainless-steel vinification. The style is clean, precise, and food-friendly, offering a straightforward expression of Mediterranean character without excess ripeness or oak.

Aromas and flavours:

Primary

Aroma/Nose: Fresh aromas of citrus peel, lemon, and green apple, supported by notes of white flowers, pear, and a subtle herbal nuance.

Secondary

Palate/Taste: Medium-bodied and crisp, showing citrus and orchard fruit flavors with lively but balanced acidity. The mouthfeel is clean and linear, with a light mineral edge that adds definition without heaviness.

Tertiary

Finish: Dry and refreshing, with lingering citrus notes and a clean, slightly mineral close.

Gastronomy

Serve well chilled at 8–10°C to emphasize freshness and aromatic clarity. Passuluna Bianco works effortlessly as an aperitif and pairs well with seafood, light fish dishes, salads, and Mediterranean cuisine based on vegetables, olive oil, and herbs. Its clean profile and balanced acidity make it a reliable choice for casual meals and warm-weather occasions.
