Tasting CharacteristicsTramin Müller-Thurgau Alto Adige DOC 2022 comes from vineyards located at higher elevations, where cool nights and mountain air preserve freshness and aromatic clarity. Cantina Tramin approaches Müller-Thurgau with restraint, focusing on clean fruit, linear acidity, and transparency rather than overt aromatics. Stainless-steel vinification keeps the profile sharp and mineral, allowing the grape’s delicate floral and citrus traits to express themselves naturally. This is a wine built for drinkability and the table, not for weight or power.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Green apple, pear, and lemon zest, layered with white flowers, fresh herbs, and a subtle alpine freshness.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Light to medium-bodied, dry, and crisp. Orchard fruit and citrus dominate, supported by bright acidity and a clean, linear texture. The wine feels agile and precise, with no heaviness or sweetness.
Tertiary
Finish: Fresh and dry, with lingering citrus, light herbal notes, and a mineral, mountain-driven close.
GastronomyServe well chilled at 8–10°C to highlight freshness and aromatic clarity. This Müller-Thurgau works beautifully as an aperitif and pairs effortlessly with freshwater fish, light seafood, salads, asparagus, and alpine-style dishes. Its clean acidity and light body also make it a strong match for fresh cheeses and delicate vegetable preparations, especially where finesse matters more than intensity.
