Schlossböckelheimer Felsenberg is a historic Grand-Cru slope of porphyry and volcanic rock, and the 2021 Grosses Gewächs captures the site’s signature fire: searing mineral edges, cool-climate acidity, and crystalline fruit. Aroma / Nose: Explosive aromas of lime zest, crushed stone, white peach, smoked herbs, wild slate and subtle flint. Volcanic minerality rises immediately — sharp, clean, and almost saline.
Secondary
Palate / Taste: The palate is taut and vibrant: lemon oil, tart stone fruit, green apple skin, and a deep, volcanic minerality that surges at the core. The texture is sleek yet concentrated, driven by racy acidity and that unmistakable Felsenberg smoky-stony signature.
Tertiary
Finish: Long, precise and saline, with lingering citrus pith, cool herbs and volcanic spice — the finish crackles with tension.
