Tasting CharacteristicsBushmills 14-Year-Old Malaga Finish showcases the distillery’s finesse in wood management and Irish smoothness. Aged for 14 years in bourbon casks and finished in Malaga wine barrels, it combines the bright fruit of Bushmills malt with rich dessert-wine depth. The result is elegant and complex — a whiskey with sun-kissed sweetness and silky structure.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Honey, vanilla, and ripe peach with hints of raisin, oak, and spice.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Creamy and full – flavors of dried apricot, toffee, malt, and baked apple unfold with soft notes of spice and sweet Malaga wine.
Tertiary
Finish: Long and smooth, leaving impressions of honey, sultanas, and oak warmth.
GastronomyEnjoy neat or with a splash of water to reveal its fruit-forward richness. Bushmills 14YO Malaga Finish pairs beautifully with grilled duck, roasted nuts, or aged cheeses. For dessert, try it with apple pie, crème brûlée, or almond tart — the whiskey’s honeyed and raisiny sweetness complements these flavors perfectly.
