Brut Réserve showcases the house`s artisanal approach to blending: equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier, enriched by an unusually high proportion of reserve wines – some aged 5 to 20 years in magnums. This commitment to ageing builds the cuvée`s characteristic complexity, silkiness and refined vinosity. Crafted with fruit from over 60 crus and matured extensively in historic chalk cellars, the wine reflects both precision and generosity, capturing the essence of Charles Heidsieck’s deeply layered style.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: A rich and expressive bouquet of brioche, toasted hazelnut, ripe peach, candied citrus, baked apple and light spice, with subtle floral undertones.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Creamy and structured, combining orchard fruit, lemon curd, roasted almonds and pastry notes. The mousse is fine and persistent, balanced by an energetic acidity that keeps the palate bright and lifted.
Tertiary
Finish: Long and elegant, leaving impressions of citrus zest, warm brioche, chalky minerality and a gentle, nuanced maturity.
