Tasting Characteristics“La Pierre” comes from sandy-granitic soils that emphasize finesse, floral expression, and a vivid fruit profile. Frédéric Berne vinifies with a gentle hand, keeping extraction precise and highlighting the natural charm of the cru. The 2023 vintage is vibrant and finely structured, showing the freshness of the year together with the subtle minerality that defines Régnié.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Lively wild strawberry, red cherry, cranberry, peony, and a trace of granite dust.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Fresh, agile, and finely textured. Red berry fruit meets delicate floral notes, crisp acidity, and soft, powdery tannins. The wine is light on its feet while still offering depth.
Tertiary
Finish: Clean, lifted, and softly mineral, with a persistent red-fruited brightness.
GastronomyServe lightly chilled (13–14 C) to enhance its precision. This expressive Régnié is perfect for charcuterie, roast chicken, herb-forward vegetarian dishes, trout, grilled shrimp, and soft to semi-soft cheeses. Its vibrant acidity and floral fruit notes beautifully complement fresh herbs, mild spices, and delicately caramelized flavors.
