Tasting CharacteristicsPiedra Crianza 2020 is made predominantly from Tempranillo (Tinta del País), sourced from old vineyards in Ribera del Duero. The continental climate of the region shapes a wine of concentration and tension, while Crianza aging adds polish and complexity. Oak maturation contributes spice and structure without masking the fruit, resulting in a wine that balances power with regional authenticity. This is a serious, food-oriented red rooted firmly in Ribera tradition.

Primary
Aroma/Nose: Ripe blackberry and black cherry aromas lead, supported by notes of vanilla, cedar, clove, and a touch of cocoa.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Medium-plus bodied and firmly structured, showing dark fruit, plum, and savory spice. Oak brings warmth and depth, while tannins are present but well-rounded, providing grip without roughness. Acidity keeps the wine focused and balanced.
Tertiary
Finish: Long, dry, and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, oak spice, and a subtle earthy undertone.
GastronomyServe at 16–18°C to let the fruit and oak integrate properly. A short decant helps soften the tannins and opens up the wine’s spice-driven aromatics. This Crianza works best with protein and fat: grilled lamb, beef stews, or roasted pork balance its structure and oak influence.
