Tasting CharacteristicsIronstone Pinot Noir 2021 reflects a warm-climate Californian interpretation of the variety: generous fruit, supple texture and approachable tannins. Stainless-steel fermentation preserves clarity, while a small portion aged in oak adds roundness and spice. The result is an easy-drinking, versatile Pinot with a smooth profile and charming aromatic brightness.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, rose petal, subtle vanilla, soft baking spice and a faint earthy note.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Light to medium-bodied, silky and smooth. Ripe red berries, cherry compote, cranberry, gentle spice, a touch of vanilla and soft herbal nuance. Tannins are delicate and well-integrated; acidity keeps the wine bright and refreshing.
Tertiary
Finish: Medium, soft and fruity, with lingering cherry, light spice and floral hints.
GastronomyServe at 14–16°C. Excellent with roasted chicken, duck breast, pork tenderloin, mushroom dishes, grilled salmon, tuna steaks, soft cheeses and herb-driven vegetarian cuisine. Its silky texture and bright red fruit pair beautifully with lighter meats and aromatic dishes.
