Tasting Characteristics“Madame de” 2023 is Château de la Selve’s most delicate and refreshing white wine — crafted with minimal intervention from biodynamically farmed Mediterranean varieties. Fermentation in stainless steel preserves purity, tension and crystalline aromatics, resulting in a wine that expresses the natural freshness of the Ardèche landscape. Light, expressive and easy-drinking, it balances fruit, florality and subtle minerality with effortless precision.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma / Nose: White peach, lemon zest, green apple, acacia blossom, a touch of fresh herbs and a light chalk-mineral hint.
Secondary
Palate / Taste: Light to medium-bodied, lively and clean. Bright citrus, pear and white-fleshed stone fruit meet floral nuances and a subtle herbal note. The acidity is fresh and linear, giving the wine energy and lift without heaviness.
Tertiary
Finish: Medium in length, crisp and refreshing, with a citrus-mineral fade and a gentle saline touch.
