Tasting Characteristics

Euphrasie 2024 is one of Adrien Berlioz’s most refined expressions of Altesse, sourced from limestone-rich slopes around Chignin. Vinified with precision and aged on fine lees, the wine retains a taut, mineral backbone while revealing subtle aromatic depth. This vintage highlights the grape’s natural elegance: white flowers, fresh orchard fruit, alpine herbs and a gentle, savory texture. It is a poised, modern Savoie white — fresh, vertical and beautifully detailed.

Aromas and flavours:

Primary

Aroma/Nose: White peach, pear, acacia blossom, fresh almond, mountain herbs, citrus zest and a subtle wet-stone minerality.

Secondary

Palate/Taste: Medium-bodied, lively and finely etched. Orchard fruit and citrus mingle with floral tones, delicate lees-derived creaminess and a linear mineral tension. The texture is sleek yet subtly layered, carried by brisk alpine acidity.

Tertiary

Finish: Long and pure — citrus peel, white flowers and chalky minerality linger with elegant precision.

Gastronomy

Serve at 9–11 C. Euphrasie 2024 pairs beautifully with alpine and refined seafood dishes: lake fish (trout, perch), oysters, scallops, sushi, roasted poultry with herbs, creamy vegetable risotto, fresh goat cheese, Savoie tomme and Comté. Its mineral tension makes it exceptional with dishes featuring lemon, herbs or subtle cream sauces.
