Chateau Margaux 2012

Château Margaux 2012 is a study in refinement. In a vintage marked by careful selection, the estate delivered a wine with remarkable purity: Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and definition, while Merlot adds depth and sensuality. The signature Margaux perfume — violets, graphite, cedar and dark berries — is present, but the 2012 expresses it with delicacy and balance rather than opulence. Polished tannins and lifted acidity shape a wine of timeless grace and long aging potential.

Serve at 18 C, ideally after 1 hour of decanting to release its aromatic complexity. Château Margaux 2012 pairs beautifully with refined dishes: roast lamb with herbs, filet mignon, duck breast, veal tenderloin, mushroom risotto, truffle-infused dishes, and delicate game. For cheese, choose aged hard varieties such as Comté, old Gouda or mature cheddar — or soft-ripened cheeses with earthy complexity like Brie de Meaux.
