Tasting CharacteristicsYarden Gewürztraminer captures the character of Golan’s high-altitude vineyards: warm days, cool nights, and mineral volcanic soils. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve its personality, the wine reveals intense floral perfume, ripe exotic fruit and a refined texture. It balances richness and lift, embodying a Mediterranean expression of this expressive variety.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Lychee, rose petals, orange blossom, jasmine, peach, ripe pear, mango and a touch of exotic spice — maybe ginger or white pepper.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Medium-bodied, with notes of lychee, peach, apricot, soft tropical fruit, honeysuckle, a hint of white spice and gentle honeyed nuance. Balanced acidity keeps the wine lively and prevents heaviness despite richness.
Tertiary
Finish: Medium, aromatic-floral with lingering exotic fruit and spice, soft but persistent.
GastronomyServe well-chilled (8–10 °C). Excellent with spicy Asian dishes (Thai, Vietnamese), sushi with richer toppings, seafood curry, grilled prawns, light poultry in coconut sauce, Middle-Eastern mezze, soft cheeses (fresh goat cheese, ricotta), fruit salads, and lightly spiced vegetarian dishes. Its floral-aromatic profile complements spice and herb-rich cuisine.
