Tasting CharacteristicsMesa Giunco 2022 embodies Sardinia’s maritime soul — luminous, fragrant, and pure. The wine glides from citrus and white flowers to sea breeze and herbs, carrying the saline whisper of the Mediterranean. Its sleek texture and mineral backbone create a sensation of fluid balance — refreshing yet layered, simple yet profound. A Vermentino that captures sunlight, wind, and salt in every glass.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose:: Fresh and coastal, opening with notes of white peach, grapefruit, lime, and wild herbs. Layers of Mediterranean scrub, sea breeze, and orange blossom bring aromatic complexity and a sense of place.
Secondary
Palate/Taste:: Bright and elegant, with flavors of pear, lemon zest, and green melon supported by crisp acidity and subtle mineral tension. The lees aging adds a soft, rounded texture, while hints of almond and thyme lend a savory dimension.
Tertiary
Finish: Long and persistent, balancing zesty citrus with gentle salinity and a touch of bitter almond — leaving the palate clean and refreshed.
GastronomyA perfect partner for seafood and coastal cuisine, Mesa Giunco 2022 pairs beautifully with grilled prawns, octopus, and branzino, its citrus zest cutting through the natural richness of the sea. It shines alongside seafood risotto, linguine alle vongole, and fresh oysters, where its minerality mirrors the ocean’s brine. For a vegetarian match, try it with asparagus risotto, artichokes, or goat cheese with herbs. Serve chilled at 8–10 °C to highlight its crisp aromatics and saline vibrancy — the essence of Sardinia in a glass.
