Taste and character
Blackcurrant gives a nalewka an intense colour and a deep, slightly tart taste. Santellini Black Currant keeps that character: the berry note dominates, the acidity adds freshness, and the sweetness is noticeable without being overwhelming. It contains 14.1 g of sugar per litre.
How to serve blackcurrant nalewka
Serve lightly chilled, neat or as a cocktail ingredient. Blackcurrant nalewka pairs well with prosecco, tonic and apple juice – a few ice cubes are all you need for a simple, fruity drink.
How it is made
Santellini Black Currant is made with artesian water from the producer’s own 125-metre source, purified with carbon filters. The water and “Lux” class grain alcohol are blended with the other ingredients in closed vats, and the mixture is filtered through quartz sand and carbon. Before bottling, the nalewka rests for up to 8 days, and the bottles are sealed with a cork.
