Tasting CharacteristicsFossilis Pinot Blanc 2024 highlights the grape’s natural delicacy and purity. Fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel, the wine expresses a clean, mineral-driven profile shaped by Setúbal’s coastal breezes and limestone-rich soils. Lees contact adds a soft, rounded edge without diminishing its lively, linear acidity. The result: a bright, modern Portuguese interpretation of Pinot Blanc — elegant, refreshing and effortlessly drinkable.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aromat/Nos: White flowers, lemon zest, pear, green apple, light peach, wet stone and a subtle saline hint.
Secondary
Smak/Podniebienie: Fresh and elegant, with citrus (lemon, lime), pear, crisp apple and gentle floral notes. Smooth texture with softly rounded edges from lees ageing. Clear mineral line and vibrant acidity give precision and lift.
Tertiary
Finisz: Medium, clean, floral-mineral, with a lingering citrus freshness.
GastronomyServe at 8–10°C. Ideal with seafood, grilled or steamed fish, sushi, vegetable dishes, asparagus, salads with herbs, roast chicken, soft cheeses and fresh goat cheese. Its floral-citrus profile and mineral tension enhance light, aromatic cuisine.
