Tasting CharacteristicsTerrazas de los Andes Malbec Mendoza 2022 is shaped by vineyards located at altitude, where strong sunlight and cool nights create intensity without sacrificing balance. The winery’s philosophy focuses on expressing Mendoza’s terroir through freshness and precision rather than sheer power. Careful oak aging adds texture and depth while allowing Malbec’s dark fruit and floral character to remain central. This is a modern, approachable Malbec with clarity and restraint.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Blackberry, plum, and black cherry, layered with violet, subtle cocoa, and gentle spice.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Medium-plus bodied and smooth, showing ripe dark fruit, fine-grained tannins, and well-integrated oak. Acidity is present and supportive, giving lift and definition to the wine’s generous profile.
Tertiary
Finish: Long and clean, with lingering dark fruit, light spice, and a dry, balanced close.
GastronomyServe at 16–18°C; a short decant helps the wine open and soften its structure. This Malbec pairs naturally with grilled beef, steak, lamb, and roasted meats. Its ripe fruit and polished tannins also work well with smoky dishes, barbecue, and semi-aged cheeses, making it a versatile choice for both casual and more substantial meals.
