Tasting CharacteristicsWaipara West Sauvignon Blanc 2024 captures New Zealand’s coastal freshness with a refined Waipara signature — elegant, mineral, and expressive. Its lively acidity and textured palate bring together tropical fruit, citrus, and herbal notes in perfect balance. Crafted from sustainably farmed vines, it’s a Sauvignon Blanc that blends Marlborough vibrancy with Waipara finesse — a wine of brightness, poise, and purity.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Expressive aromas of passionfruit, lime, and gooseberry mingle with hints of fresh herbs, bell pepper, and wet river stone.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: ibrant and layered — a burst of citrus, green apple, and tropical fruit balanced by crisp acidity and chalky minerality. Texturally smooth with bright energy.
Tertiary
Finish: Long and zesty, with lingering notes of lime peel, flint, and fresh herbs.
GastronomyPerfect with fresh seafood, goat cheese, and light vegetarian dishes. Enjoy with green asparagus, oysters, grilled fish, or Thai salads — its citrus and herbaceous profile enhances delicate flavors. Try it with sushi, ceviche, or lemon risotto for a refreshing pairing. Serve chilled at 8–10 °C — ideal for spring evenings, al fresco dining, and moments of crisp vitality.
