Tasting CharacteristicsAn effortlessly charming sparkling wine that balances crisp freshness with delicate sweetness for pure, carefree enjoyment.
Produced by Angelo Rocca, one of Italy`s respected family wineries, 8 Secco DOC Extra Dry Millesimato 2023 expresses the approachable, fruit-driven elegance of Veneto`s Glera grape. Crafted via the Charmat method and bottled as a Millesimato, it celebrates the character of a single vintage – clean, aromatic, and vibrantly fresh. Its Extra Dry style delivers both lift and softness, making it a versatile sparkling suited for modern, relaxed hospitality.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Notes of green apple, pear, and white peach rise gently from the glass, supported by floral tones of acacia and hints of citrus zest.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Light, refreshing, and easy to drink. Crisp orchard fruits lead the palate, complemented by a fine, lively mousse. The balance of acidity and a touch of sweetness creates smooth, harmonious texture.
Tertiary
Finish: Clean and pleasantly lingering, leaving soft impressions of peach, pear, and citrus.
GastronomyServe well chilled (6-8 C) in a flute or tulip glass to enhance its fine bubbles and delicate aromatics. 8 Secco lends itself beautifully to aperitivo culture: enjoy with shrimp cocktail, tuna tartare, smoked salmon crostini, or fresh oysters. Its gentle sweetness pairs naturally with soft cheeses such as mozzarella, burrata, or ricotta. It also complements prosciutto with melon, light vegetable starters, and summery salads.
