Tasting CharacteristicsNinja Kicks Pinot Noir 2021 by Schmitt Söhne is designed to be accessible rather than contemplative. Sourced from Rheinhessen, the wine focuses on clean fruit expression, moderate alcohol, and soft structure. Minimal oak keeps the profile light and transparent, allowing Pinot Noir’s red-fruit character to stay front and center. This is a casual, versatile red aimed at everyday drinking rather than cellar aging.
Aromas and flavours:
Primary
Aroma/Nose: Fresh red cherry, raspberry, and strawberry, with a subtle floral note and a light hint of spice.
Secondary
Palate/Taste: Light to medium-bodied and smooth, showing juicy red fruit, gentle acidity, and very soft tannins. The texture is easy and rounded, with no heaviness or oak dominance.
Tertiary
Finish: Clean and refreshing, with lingering red fruit and a soft, dry close.
GastronomyServe slightly cooler than typical reds, around 14–16°C, to highlight freshness and fruit. This Pinot Noir works well with lighter dishes such as roasted chicken, turkey, pork, pasta with tomato or mushroom sauces, and casual meals like pizza or flatbreads. Its low tannin and bright acidity also make it a flexible option for mixed tables and informal occasions.
